Hi, I’m Jen.

I create books for curious kids, imaginative grown-ups, and anyone who still believes reading should be a little bit of fun.

I’m a former teacher, lifelong storyteller, habitual doodler, animal lover, and collector of ideas that usually begin with “What if…”

My stories tend to involve humor, heart, curious creatures, accidental chaos, and characters who are learning a little something about themselves and the world around them.

When I’m not writing or illustrating, I’m probably rearranging the next book, overthinking an illustration, or following a completely unnecessary creative rabbit hole- all while being supervised by a very playful golden retriever who likes to redecorate the house.

Mostly, I make things because creating has always been the way that I make sense of the world.
